HOSTAGE NEGOTIATION CONCEPTS FOR DISPATCHERS
Hostage Negotiation Concepts introduces the dispatcher to principles and techniques of hostage/crisis negotiations. Students learn how to recognize potential crisis callers and situations, and learn to apply negotiation techniques during these incidents.

The class also gives dispatchers an understanding of the roles within hostage negotiation teams, an overview of the use of tactical teams, and an understanding of how the operations of both relate to communications/dispatch.
