Zombie Apocalypse Tag
Tuesday, October 22, 2013 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM (MDT)
Sierra Vista, AZ

We're going to be holding a huge game of Zombie Apocalpyse Tag as part of Play Festival. The teams that are not currently on the survivors side will be the starting zombie horde identified by paper bags over their heads with zombie faces, inside the paper bag the type of zombie they are will be listed.
Shamblers walk and drag a foot and are eliminated when hit at range
Walkers walk normally and turn into shamblers when hit at range except the head which eliminates them
Runners can run and turn into walkers when hit at range except the head which eliminates them
Bruisers can't be stopped by range and can destroy barricades
Thinkers can pick up weapons and use them on survivors they are eliminated when hit at range, thinkers are also the only zombies able to talk on the field and can coordinate other zombies
Reanimators are given water pistols and can squirt zombies leaving the field to the zombie waiting area. If the reanimator hits the zombie in the torso it puts the bag back on and continues as a shambler. When the water pistol is out the reanimator can no longer ressurect zombies.
Melee hits anywhere except the head will eliminate a zombie, if the head is hit in melee it sprays the infected brain matter into the face of the survivor turning him or her into a zombie
When a zombie is killed the player removes the paper bag and holds it up while walking off the field.
Each flag taken from a survivor scores that team 1 point. Each survivor that survives and escapes scores that team 2 points. Players that have been converted to a zombie
Zombies who take a flag must carry it back to their team's scoring area before taking another, they're too busy chewing on what they've got to get more.
Rounds last 15 minutes.
Survivors have two flags each, once both flags are lost they are dead and leave the field to become zombies. Survivors who capture flags from their own team do not score for their team, but can prevent other teams from scoring that flag.
There will be supply caches scattered throughout the play area, they could be extra flags to restore health, ranged weapons (foam balls for throwing), melee weapons (boffers), or building supplies (collapsed cardboard boxes)
boxes can be build to form barricades which only bruisers can smash through, a bruiser does this by picking up the box and collapsing it.
There are also special items in some of the caches that are worth points if returned to the helipad area.
At the end of the 15 minutes, the helicopter leaves with only the survivors and point scoring items on the pad.
If all survivors are killed the helicopter leaves and the items on the helipad are scored for the survivors.
Teams are built of ten players and can register together, lone players are also welcome and will be assigned to teams if they do not have one.
This is intended to be fun, participants who cause harm or endanger others or cannot otherwise behave like adults will be removed from the event. Participants are also advised that there are dangers to physical activities listed here and that except in cases of gross misconduct or negligence on the part of the event staff participants agree to accept personal responsibility for any incidents that occur.
Eye protection is strongly encouraged.
