I am organizing a 5K race and health fair to raise donations to the Rogers State University Conservation Education Reserve to repair the trails. This year, all of the proceeds will be donated to repair The Woodland Trail, a small section located in the RSU Nature Reserve. The 5K will start and finish inside of the RSU Nature Reserve. This will be a new and cool trail for you to try and if you have ran a lot of 5Ks, this one will be very different.
The Survivor Runners will be given flags, these are your lifeline. The only way you can regain a flag again is if you run through the obstacles. The Zombie Chasers are chasing the Runners and is running the full 5K course. While the Zombie Lurkers are placed in designated spots throughout the course. Zombies are the only one that can grab flags!
There are 3 main obstacles. One is a boot camp inspired, another one is a mud pit, and the last one is a carnival water shooting game.
Before the race, there will be a Presidential Fitness Challenge from the Interact Club. You will be doing physical challenges and it will be followed by a martail arts demonstration.
So remember, Run For Your Life! Also, if you don't want to run, there will be live music and food! This will be a fun-filled event day!
**The race starts at 6 PM and the health fair starts at 2 PM on April 19 2014.
**The whole 5K course will be held inside of Nature Reserve
**Tickets will go up by $5 during Race Week.
**The first 100 people that sign up will get a free t-shirt. Email me your t-shirt size please!
**If you want to volunteer, email me please!
