YWCA-NYC Domestic Violence Awareness TweetUp
Wednesday, October 12, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (EDT)
New York, NY
You’re Invited: Show up to help end Domestic Violence
During the time it will take you to read this email, 5 women will be affected by domestic violence – that’s 145 people every hour. Sadly, 1 in 4 women will be affected during their lifetime.
But you can help. We hope you will join us for a special event to recognize Domestic Violence Awareness month.
We have been challenged by The Allstate Foundation to have at least 100 people attend the event. For every attendee, the Foundation will donate $100 to the YWCA of the City of New York to fund programs that support domestic violence victims.
And, if you haven’t heard already, there’s a secret on purplepurse.com so check it out today. We will be revealing the story of the purple purse at the event. You can show your support by wearing purple or bringing a purse to donate.
RSVP today and help end domestic violence.
