Event Details

Are you confused about health care and the Affordable Care Act? You are not alone.  Whether your business is a small shop or a large company -or anywhere in between - the Affordable Care Act will influence how every business and organization operates in the coming years. Learn what you need to know about this important piece of legislation. This discussion will focus on the policy issues Colorado faces as the Affordable Care Act is further implemented in the state.  The session will delve into five pressing policy issues:

  1. The effectiveness of the health insurance exchange in covering uninsured Coloradans
  2. The reality of Medicaid expansion and how providers plan to manage
  3. Choices for small employers in light of mandates, premiums and changing benefits
  4. Opportunities to make preventative health care and wellness education more prevalent
  5. The elusiveness of the cost curve – is it bendable?

Brought to you by the Yampa Valley Medical Center, Wells Fargo and the Steamboat Springs Chamber. This educational lunch is free for all Chamber Members and $20 for Non-Chamber Members. Lunch is provided by Colorado Mountain College Catering.
