Join TechShop for an afternoon of mixing, mingling and grilled cheese with the bright young minds of the Young Makers Organization! This is a great opportunity for TechShop members with bright young makers of their own to get to know more about the opportunities available to them and for the Young Makers to learn about TechShop and the possibilities we can provide. Bring your Maker kids and get to know this fantastic group that can inspire young minds to greatness for the future. The Young Maker program will also have some of their projects from previous Maker Faires on display.
Lunch will be provided from 12:00 - 3:00pm by the always awesome American Grilled Cheese Kitchen!
We will also be joining up with our friends at Autodesk to offer workshops on some of their new exciting software programs:
- Sketchbook on the iPAD
- 123D Make on the PC
Both workshops are 90 minutes long. Sign-ups for both workshops will be on-site on a first come, first served basis.
The Young Makers group was started through the collaboration of Tony DeRose of Pixar, the Exploratorium, and MAKE Magazine / Maker Fairewith the goal of bringing together like-minded young people with adult mentors and fabricators to organize opportunities for kids to dream up and develop projects to present at each year's Maker Faire.
