November is not just about turkey or changing leaves, it's also National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)! Macon Bibb County Parks & Recreation is hosting a free Young Authors Workshop on Saturday, November 3rd at Central City Park in support of NaNoWriMo. This event is free and open to all students ages 13 and up. Refreshments and writing materials will be provided.
Now you're thinking "I don't need any more essays to write"! We know! This workshop is to give you information about a variety of writing topics including; Blogging and Social Media, How to Make Procrastination Work for You!, NaNoWriMo, Writing in the Digital Age, College Newspapers and Literary Magazines, Podcasting, Haiku You. Published authors, Macon State professors, Macon state students, local musicians, bloggers, and journalists will be working with you on writing topics that are not only fun but could open doors to your future in the writing world! There will be a Q&A session for you to network and get some advice so feel free to bring pieces you have or are currently writing!
