Event Details

Carla has been bullied by her classmates for too long.  The teachers and principles won’t do anything about it after numerous attempts of letting them know.  The 3 spoil girl’s keeps pushing Carla to the limit.  Will Carla retaliate by killing them or will she take her own life? “ It will make you laugh, make your cry but most importantly will make you think..You Can’t Hold Me Down!

UCAN of Memphis hits the stage for the 1st time educating students and adults on the effects of bullying and suicide.  The innovating show “Can’t Hold Me Down”, written by Joy “DJ” Henderson, addresses diversity, resources and healing for teens and adults who have contemplated suicide from bullying.  Leshundra Robinson, President of UCAN of Memphis, knows 1st hand how suicide can effect family and yourself.  Her brother committed suicide March 23, 2011 because he had been bullied in his early teens and the pain carried into his adulthood.  She has been on the battlefield informing others how bullying can lead to suicide.

Guest performance by Comedian Stephon Smith, Alex "AC" Carroll and Kayden Bowie from hot single "What If!"  Be ready for fashion, comedy and dancing.
