London, United Kingdom
Thinking Development would like to invite you to a very special reception in UCL on December 6th. We will be showcasing our finalised sustainable and replicable school design for urban Haiti for the first time, and highlighting the final pieces of the puzzle needed to make this innovative education project a reality.
We will host just 100 guests to generate discussion, encourage feedback and invite support in the final push towards construction.
The event will commence with a brief update on the project's ambitions, principles and achievements, and then showcase never-before-seen video footage of the process and proposal. We will close with questions and comments, and invite guests to interact with our exhibition and mingle!
Looking forward to hosting you on December 6th,
The Thinking Development Team
*** This is a registration only event. If you have received the invitation and know of someone who should be there, please pass on the invitation on our behalf.***
When & Where
Thinking Development is an NGO founded by UCL students, alumni and faculty in response to the January 2010 disaster in Haiti.
Its mission is to gather the intellectual resources of UCL and our wider network of associates to develop a school and community complex in central Port-au-Prince - thoughtfully.
The goal is to make this complex disaster-resistant, eco-friendly, sustainable, community-sensitive and beautiful, embodying local knowledge and cutting-edge design, and empowering the local community to develop as they see fit.
Thinking Development is also committed to facilitating research-NGO collaborations, and to capacity-building in the field and among development and DRR researchers.
