YMCA After Partee with Jon Pardi & Kimberly Paige
Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM (EDT)
Ponte Vedra, FL
THE PLAYERS Championship opened up an incredible opportunity for four local charities to raise money through a four-night concert series during the PGA tournament at Sawgrass in lot 11, and we are pleased to be one of the four. Our event “The After Partee” will be Thursday, May 8, 2013 – the night of the first official day of tournament play at THE PLAYERS Championship – with great food from local restaurants, drinks and a live concert from up-and-comer Jon Pardi and Jacksonville's own Kimberly Paige.
The doors open at 5:30pm and the concert begins at 7:30pm. Parking for all ticket holders will be free near the venue, immediately next to the concert area. General admission tickets include access to the live concert plus a complimentary beverage. VIP tickets includes access to the live concert plus complimentary beverages and food from Black Hog Farm, Black Sheep Restaurant and Anthony's Gourmet Catering throughout the evening, and access to a preferred seating area.
Pardi’s debut album peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot Country Albums charts and includes the party-ready anthem “Up All Night.” Pardi has been summoned by Dierks Bentley to be one of his opening acts on his Riser Tour. His first show with Bentley is the night after The After Partee (May 9 in Charlotte). Nashville recording artist and Ponte Vedra native Kimberly Paige will be the opening act at The After Partee.
All proceeds from this benefit concert will go directly toward preventing summer learning loss across the First Coast by providing scholarships for kids to attend Y summer camps. Lazy summers are one of the most significant, yet least acknowledged, causes of underachievement in our schools. Research shows summer learning loss has a tremendous impact on students’ success, including high school completion, post-secondary education and workforce preparedness. Low-income children lose as much as two grade levels in reading and math.
That’s why YMCA summer camps are so important. Thanks to the generosity of others, we are able to provide all kids with equal exposure to enrichment activities that they might otherwise not have, regardless of their ability to pay. Children also get to explore the outdoors, build self-esteem, develop interpersonal skills and make lasting friendships and memories. With your help, we can ensure that every child is safe, healthy and engaged in learning all summer.
