Event Details

Dear Friends: We regret to post that YESS 2014 is postponed until further notice, due to some unexpected changes in the venue's policy that effect several of our scheduled events.  We were hoping to find another venue for this Spring but sometimes it takes awhile to find the right place and so far we are still looking. If you have any suggestions or favorite places please send us an email. Please check back with us as we have other upcoming events planned for later this year and next year with details soon to come. In the meantime, we invite you to join us in celebrating the original intent of the YES Symposium and "turn on your heartlight" with the new season that is upon us.  Please enjoy this offering of the Heartlight Meditation that was scheduled to be enjoyed together as a group meditation. We hope that this message finds you well and joyful. Peace & love, YES Symposium Team --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HEARTLIGHT MEDITATION Find a quiet peaceful place to sit with your palms up, either alone or in a group.  If you are with others, sit in a circle close enough to rest your right upturned palm on your neighbor's left.  If you are with only one other person or in pairs you could also choose to sit back to back. Close your eyes and settle your mind.  Take a few cleansing deep breaths and allow your voice to naturally hummmm as you exhale.    Think of a place where you would like to energetically create and plant a tall structure.  Surround that place with love, healing, and protection.  It can be the actual physical place where you are meditating now or it can be somewhere else.  The tall structure can be anything you want: a tower, an antenna, a lighthouse.  Focus your attention on the light inside your heart and float some of that light above your head or merge it in the middle of the circle.  Use that light to create a huge bright light to mount on top of the tall structure. It can be a bright red heart-shaped light, or a star, a sphere, or a sun shape and make it any color that speaks to you.  Flip the switch on and allow this light to shine brightly in all directions as a signal of love and peace.  Feel the warm glow of the light.  You can leave it on, set it to "pulse", or pulse on morse code "L-O-V-E".  Whatever feels good to you.  Look around in the distance for other heartlights turning on. Feel how they are all connected with the same message and energy of love.  Begin to rise up from the Earth and see all of the heartlights glowing and pulsating across the landscape of our planet. View our world from space as all of our heartlights combine as one bright beacon and encompass the Earth in a bath of love and peace.  Take a few moments to connect with this energy and revel in the glow. Set your heartlight to remain on for infinity, take a deep breath, and slowly, gently return to your physical body, time, and place.  Please plant these heartlight towers anytime or anywhere you like, as many as you would like. However, ask or communicate with your guides or angels for permission before planting one in spaces that are not your own or that are not public spaces.   Thank you for adding your heartlight to our world. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Deep in the heart of Texas, the Yellow-rose Earthhealers & Shamans Symposium (YESS) was created to gather like-minded healing arts practitioners, lightworkers, earthlovers, and shamanic practitioners from all four directions of our beautiful blue planet.  We come together as one heart to share our gifts with the world and with one another in a safe and sacred space.  This is the beginning of a new annual tradition that celebrates our oldest spiritual traditions based on the nature of life on Earth and the celestial movements of our sun and moon.

“TURN ON YOUR HEARTLIGHT!”

 Unknown-2

…Is the theme for this first year.  Yes, like the Neil Diamond song!  We honor our ancestors and the land they left in our care by proactively sending out love transmissions tuned to the heart chakra frequency from our hearts to each other and our beloved planet.  In this symposium, we explore the many ways we as human healers can fulfill our highest potential in helping to raise the heart vibration of every being on the planet.

The YES! Symposium 2014 will begin just in time for Spring with opening ceremonies on Friday, March 21st and closing ceremonies on Sunday, March 23rd. Overnight accommodations are available for Friday and Saturday night.

EVENT TOPICS/ACTIVITIES/WORKSHOPS:  drum circles, journey circles, shamanic reiki, acupuncture, soul retrieval, mandalas, crystal grids, conservation, sustainability, ecotourism, medicine wheels, crystal singing bowls, labyrinths, herbs & native plants, ceremonial tool crafting, dancing, chanting, singing, yoga, dreamwork, horse therapy, shamanic parenting, the business side of the healing arts, an Earthlover’s Market, meditation, sound & music therapy, and much more!

Unknown-3 LOCATION:  McKinney Roughs Nature Park in Central Texas.  This park is a gem and the perfect place to gather together in sacred space.  McKinney Roughs is a 1,100 acre nature park where characteristics of four ecosystems– Post Oak Savannah, Blackland Prairie, East Texas Piney Woods, and a riparian zone– converge to create an unusual blend of natural resources. Located just 13 miles east of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, McKinney Roughs is home to hundreds of plant and animal species living within the rolling box canyons, wildflower meadows and lazy river bends of the Texas Colorado River.  Along with abundant wildlife, the park is also home to a recently built learning center, a dining hall with a full kitchen and fireplace, an outdoor amphitheater with a stage and a fire pit, and temperature controlled dormitories, all outfitted with the human creature comforts of home.  Further details on registration soon to come!

PRESENTERS: We are currently accepting the last few proposals for events and classes from healing arts therapists, medicine folk, reiki practitioners, artists, authors, musicians, dancers, shamanic practitioners, lightworkers, etc. We are looking for professionals who have experience in one or more of the topics listed above.    Proposals should include a brief description of the event you would like to present, logistic details, your bio, a pic of your beautiful face, your favorite color, and contact info (email, phone, website, address) to yess3212014@gmail.com.  All proposals must be digitally submitted by December 21st, 2013. We have several events booked already but we still have spots open!
