Martin Yan, Chef, M.Y. China; Host, "Yan Can Cook"

Longtime Bay Area resident Martin Yan is the host of PBS’s award-winning series “Yan Can Cook,” and also a food consultant, valued cooking instructor and author of more than 30 successful cookbooks. Chef Yan has taught at top culinary institutions such as The Culinary Institute of America, The California Culinary Academy and The Chinese Cuisine Institute in Hong Kong, and has appeared on numerous television shows including "Iron Chef America," "Top Chef" and Gordon Ramsey’s "Hell’s Kitchen." An internationally recognized master chef and expert in the art of Asian cooking, Chef Yan joins us for an evening to celebrate the Chinese New Year and discuss his influential culinary career and the state of Chinese cuisine in the United States today.
All ticket holders will enjoy a light appetizer from Chef Yan. Premium ticket purchasers will also enjoy a reception prior to the program with Chef Yan and Narsai David while enjoying light hors d’oeuvres provided by M.Y. China. Those who purchase a dinner ticket will join us for a private meal with the chef at his restaurant, M.Y. China. The dinner, which will have a special Chinese New Year menu, will be limited to 30 guests and include access to the reception, program, multi-course meal and a cooking demonstration provided by Chef Yan himself.
