The Yale Alumni Association of Metropolitan New York is pleased to partner with The After-School Corporation (TASC) in support of a College & Career Fair on Friday, August 6th, 2010. We are seeking volunteers to review resumes, conduct mock interviews, and serve on career panels. Each volunteer must make a minimum of a two (2) hour commitment.
TASC expects hundreds of high school students to participate. TASC is seeking volunteers to participate in one of two roles, as follows:
(1) Resume Reviewers/Mock Interviewer: Volunteers will conduct one-on-one sessions of about 15 minutes each to either review or give advice about a student’s resume or conduct a mock interview and give feedback.
(2) Career Panelist : Volunteers will sit on a panel for 45-minute session with other volunteers from similar fields to discuss their careers and pathways to their career to about 25 to 30 high school students.
This event will be conducted at New York University's Kimmel Center at 60 Washington Square South.
YAAMNY's participation in the College & Career Fair is a joint initiative of the Educational Programs Committee, the Public Service & Social Justice Committee, and the Arts & Entertainment Committee.
