Xconomy Xchange: The Genetics Institute Impact

Genetics Institute is one of those names from the original biotech boom of the early 1980s that faded from the headlines a long time ago. But 15 years after GI was acquired by Wyeth (now part of Pfizer), this pioneering Boston biotech company is still causing ripples in the Boston biotech community—having recruited, inspired, and provided an essential training ground for a generation of young scientists and business people. Xconomy will bring together some of the leading GI alumni for a lively evening of reminiscing, networking, and brainstorming about what’s ahead for Boston biotech.
