This free Veteran Career Panel and Networking Event will be held at NBC Studios in New York City, NY on Friday August 19 from 8:00am - 1:30pm. This event will consist of career coaching provided by Hire Heroes USA and WWE human resources professionals, in addition to an industry panel Q&A with executives from top Tri-State Area companies. You will have the opportunity to ask questions of the panelists on topics such as interviewing techniques and hiring tips, and the day will conclude with a networking event attended by recruiters, human resources professionals, and hiring managers from top companies in the Tri-State Area.

Attendees will receive a WWE branded resume portfolio, opportunity to take a professional LinkedIn profile photograph, a chance to win tickets to SummerSlam at Barclays Center, free resume revision and more!

Veteran Career Panel and Networking Event FAQ

1. What should I wear to this event?

Business professional attire is highly encouraged, as you will have the opportunity to network with human resources professionals from companies in the Tri-State Area.

2. What should I bring to this event?

Please bring your printed or mobile ticket, photo ID, multiple copies of your resume, and business cards (if you have them). A padfolio and pen will be provided, but feel free to bring a laptop if you'd rather take notes on your computer.

3. Can I bring someone with me?

Unfortunately, there is only enough space to accommodate one entry per ticket. However, registration for this event is free for all U.S. military members, veteran or military spouses. You are encouraged to share this invitation with friends who veterans and/or military spouses, however, each individual must register by Wednesday, August 17th.

4. How can I best prepare for the networking portion of this event?

It is encouraged that all participants register for Hire Heroes USA’s free, personalized career coaching services. Hire Heroes USA will assist you in creating or polishing your resume and coach you on how to maximize networking opportunities such as the Veteran Career Panel and Networking Event. 5. Will attending this event guarantee me an interview or a job?

While you will have the opportunity to speak with employers in the Tri-State Area, we cannot guarantee that you will walk out of this event with an interview.

6. Can I come late or leave early?

It is recommended that you attend from beginning to end to reap all of the benefits this event will provide, but it is understood that you may not be able to attend this event in its entirety. Please feel free to exit at any time. We encourage you to arrive at the start of the event as we will move to a number of different areas within the venue.

7. Can I bring my kids?

Due to venue restrictions and limited seating, admission is limited to only U.S. military members, veterans and spouses. As this is a professional networking event, we encourage you to pursue other childcare options.
