In addition to the performances, we are hosting a very special premiere of games emerging from last weekends "Gamejam" hosted by Babycastles at Parson's School of Design. This weekend, participants in the gamejam got together and made seven games based on the tweets of @horse_ebooks, such as "Have you ever seen a grown man cry?"
A Gamejam is "like a big maker party. People gather together and get 48 hours and a secret theme. They form into groups and make games (video games, card games, LARPs, whatever) that fit the theme. After 48 hours, the groups show off what they made. The goals are to encourage new and experimental designs, and to build a working network of game developers in NYC. ". A BBC feature on our previous gamejam.
We will also run a final tournament for Johann Sebastian Joust: An incredible 7-player PS3 move hack art game produced by the Copenhagen Game Collective. The winner of this tournament gets to take home a copy of Katamari Damashii signed by Keita Takahashi! (Pic 1) (Pic 2)
