The Elihu Burritt Library at CCSU invites you to a talk by
William J. Mann
author, historian and CCSU alumnus
Tuesday, March 4th at 4:30 p.m. Burritt Library, 2nd floor
William J. Mann is best known for his studies of Hollywood and the American film industry, he is an author of several acclaimed works of fiction and nonfiction, for which he received numerous awards. Mr. Mann was co-editor of Metroline magazine, a gay-lesbian news magazine based in Hartford, Connecticut. In 1987 he was one of the founders of Alternatives, a gay and lesbian cultural organization in Hartford, which a year later organized the first Connecticut Gay and Lesbian Film Festival.
After the talk Mr. Mann will sign his latest book: Hello Gorgeous: Becoming Barbra Streisand, published in 2012.
The lecture will be accompanied by an exhibit with materials from the GLBTQ Archives at CCSU.
