This one-day class will teach you how to create readable, reliable, and scalable Behavior Driven Acceptance tests that will help you to speed up your test process and ultimately your software release cycles. In small groups, you will learn techniques from real world examples using Cucumber, Ruby, and Selenium WebDriver APIs. This seminar will focus purely on hands-on practice. As result, everyone will leave this class with real test automation experience.
- Setup Ruby environment
- Brief introduction to Cucumber – BDD Test Automation Framework
- Break group to pairs and start writing tests for real world web application
- Utilize Selenium WebDriver APIs to manipulate Ajax pages
- Learn test execution and reporting
- Configure Cucumber to take screenshots during test failure

Igor is a test automation manager working on Expedia’s Mobile team. He is the key driver behind Expedia’s mobile automation framework and tests built using open source tools. Before Expedia, Igor worked as an automation lead at Barnes and Noble where he built automated solutions for their flagship Nook application and web products. Igor is passionate about test automation, mobile innovations, continuous delivery and loves working in a fast paced Agile environment. This year Igor was a presenter at GTAC (Google Test Automation Conference) on topic “Mobile Automation in Continues Delivery Pipeline”.
