About Technovation Challenge:
This spring, girls from 24 states and 19 countries are taking part in the challenge to build an app that solves a problem in their local community.
Technovation Challenge encourages a suite of transferable skills in middle and high school girls that reach beyond a traditional, classroom-based computer science curriculum. Participants create an original and socially relevant mobile app while working as part of a team. The Technovation World Pitch event challenges finalists by asking them to communicate their ideas, process, and final product to an audience and panel of experts. Each team is supported by a coach (teacher or other adult) and when available, a female mentor from the technology industry.

When & Where
Technovation is the global technology entrprenuership program for girls.
Through Technovation, young women from all over the world identify and solve problems in their local communities by developing mobile app prototypes and business plans. They work in collaboration with local or long-distance mentors to research, design, code, and pitch their apps to prospective investors.
