Business Start Up Workshop

Learn “must do” steps to get your business off to the right start both legally and operationally! Presented by Bob Brodsky and panelists Aron Gent, Director and Owner of Document http://documentspace.org/ and Etsy Entrepreneur Rebecca George.


Bob Brodsky is in his 8th year of teaching an Introduction to Business course in the Arts Administration and Policy Department at SAIC.


Bob is certified as a One Page Business Plan® consultant and accreditation as facilitator from The Alternative Board® (TAB). Current member of Chicago Bar Association, and serves on Cook County Circuit Court Arbitration Panel for adjudication of civil lawsuits. Has been VISTA volunteer with a Chicago community group, served on various Non-Profit boards and committees in many capacities including president. Bob has started, owned, and managed retail, service, and wholesale businesses.

Aron Gent is Owner and Director of Document, a printing, scanning and exhibition space in Chicago’s West Loop. They specialize in the production of large-scale photography by contemporary artists for museum and gallery exhibitions and feature exhibitions of contemporary photography and video works.

Rebecca George is an Etsy Entrepreneur, whose business, Purple and Lime, http://www.purpleandlime.com, is a line of fun and luxurious womenswear, jewelry, and accessories. She presents workshops on Etsy selling, wholesale and consignment, product development, branding, etc.
