Are you ready to take your business to the next level? Join Skype’s small business team for an evening of sharing, learning and networking at Artwork Network in Denver, Colorado. You’ll discover new ways to increase productivity and grow your business through interactive presentations from Skype, author/entrepreneur Mike Michalowicz and successful local business owners.

This free event will include a panel discussion featuring Michalowicz, entrepreneur/author/speaker Amy McIlwain and business consultant Jen LaFlam. The panel will be moderated by Ural Cebeci of Skype, and will cover topics ranging from building a business to working remotely, and how they’ve used tools like Skype to enhance communication and collaboration along the way.

Light food and drinks will be provided.

About the Speakers

Mike Michalowicz is the author of the new business book The Pumpkin Plan and "the entrepreneur's cult classic" (BusinessWeek) The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur.  He is the business make-over specialist for MSNBC's Your Business, a daily contributor to American Express’s “Open Forum” blog series and a former small business columnist for The Wall Street Journal.  Mike's books have been translated into over 10 languages and he lectures on a variety of entrepreneurial topics throughout the world.

Ural Cebeci is head of small business marketing at Skype. He has been in charge of developing Skype's marketing strategy and plans for reaching out to small businesses. He recently led the launch of Skype in the workspace (SITW) and is excited to tell business owners and entrepreneurs what Skype can do for their business.

Jen LaFlam, owner of JTL Media, partner of Syntuity and business development specialist for Fruition, is a business consultant for technical sales training, SEO and website development. She formerly served as publisher of Colorado Homes & Lifestyles magazine; publisher of Senior Market Advisor magazine, website and events; and vice president of sales, marketing services, for Energy Central magazines, websites and events.

Amy McIlwain is an entrepreneur, author, speaker, and worldwide connector recognized internationally for her creative and radical new ways of using social media in the financial services industry. With over 15 years experience in digital marketing, web design, SEO and social media, Amy has developed proven methods for helping professionals deepen existing relationships, attract new prospects, and build thought leadership within compliance standards. She has been featured on ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX; is the author of the acclaimed book The Social Advisor: Social Media Secrets of the Financial Industry; and is published in top publications like The Wall Street Journal and Investment News.

About the Venue

The Artwork Network Gallery & Event Center is located in Denver’s Art District, on Santa Fe at 9th. The stylish space features exhibits of  contemporary artwork surrounded by high, vintage white tin ceilings, hardwood floors, and lots of natural light. Ample street parking is available.
