What is WordCamp Seattle?
WordCamp Seattle 2011 is happening on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the University of Washington. WordCamp Seattle is a one-day conference about WordPress – the world’s most popular content management system, blogging platform, and website creation tool.
We have an awesome WordCamp Seattle agenda. We have an opening keynote with Scott Berkun about how WordPress.com is made and a closing keynote with Alex King where he'll be interviewed about how he launched his business and built his company around WordPress.
The day will include three tracks: user/blogger, theming, and developers. The user track will feature topics such as getting started, gaining traffic, making money, and SEO. The theming track will cover creating and customizing themes, selling themes, and themeing options. The developer track will dig deep and discuss plugin development, AJAX, using WordPress as a CMS, and Andrew Nacin.
The event will be keynoted by best-selling author and speaker Scott Berkun who currently works for Automattic (the creators of WordPress) as Team Social lead. Andrew Nacin will be speaking about a facet of WordPress development. Alex King will be interviewed about how he built a successful business around WordPress. This is only a small sample; view the full speaker list.
