Event Details

Join us for an uplifting, experiential event, presented by women for women with the goal of perpetuating balance through nutrition, creative expression, bodywork, mindfulness and spirituality.  Connect body, mind and spirit and leave feeling refreshed and re-energized.

Presenters Include:

Archana Lal-Tabak, MD - Mind-Body Wellness

Archana is an integrative & complementary mind-body physician who practices homeopathy, body-centered transpersonal psychiatry, Ayurveda and Vaastu.  Her opening address will start us on the journey to understanding how the mind-body-spirit connection relates to overall wellness.

Larissa Wozney - Yoga

Larissa is the Yoga Coordinator at Lifetime Athletic Club in Skokie.  She will demonstrate the practice of Yoga, show how Yoga principles can impact our lives in positive ways and invite us to participate.

Rena Zaid - Balancing the Qi:Accupuncture, Women & Wellness

Rena is a licensed, board certified acupuncturist, working as a Chinese medicine practitioner and acupuncturist for NorthShore University Health System's Integrative Medicine Program.  She will talk about the pursuit of personal balance for women and how our energy systems impact our experience of balance

Tamara Peterson - Creative Journaling

Tamara has been teaching art and journaling classes for over 4 years, showing women how to connect with their higher power through color, textures, symbols and pictures and helping springboard them into seeing who their power created them to be - a fully creative being.

Shar Junge, MD - Your Real Age

Shar is a family medicine practioner and University of Chicago medical school instructor with NorthShore University Health Systems.  She will show us that our chronological age has less to with with who we are than we may think.  Come learn what your true age is - the age of your mind and spirit!

Myrna Weinman - NIA

NIA, or neuromuscular integrative action, is a personal growth and body-mind-fitness program that draws from dance, healing arts and more.  Myrna will demonstrate this sensory-based movement practice and invite you to join in!
