"MENTORING AND NETWORKING: DETERMINING WHAT YOU NEED AND HOW TO GET IT" with Dr. Tuesday Cooper

This event is sponsored by Cultivating Our Sisterhood International Association, Inc. (COSIA).

Today, there are lots of conversations about the need to network and secure a mentor in order to survive and thrive in the professional arena.

Questions include:
- How does one network effectively?
- What are the benefits of networking?
- Are there risks involved?  Should you have a mentor to show you how to network?
- Do you need a mentor in order to move forward and/or up in life?
- How would you go about finding a mentor?
- Exactly what is the role of a mentor?
- How do you know what kind of mentor you need?
- Are Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter really useful in moving forward efforts to network?
- How do you know whether what you are doing currently is enough?

Join us for an open discussion about mentoring and networking.  By the end of the session, participants will walk away with an action plan for identifying and engaging a mentor and creating their own sisterhood network.

What is included with your free registration?

  • Free access to session;
  • Light refreshments; and
  • Free parking at the New York Botanical Garden.
