Celebrate Women's History Month on 3/9 with COSIA!

This event sponsored by Cultivating Our Sisterhood International Association, Inc. (COSIA) provides you with the opportunity to network and enjoy the company of our members and friends at the beautiful New York Botanical Garden.

Bonus: Come early at 11:00 a.m. for a bonus networking session with Sonia Russell, poet, author, and editor-in-chief of COSIAnet.

What is included with your free registration?

  • Free access to event and networking activities;
  • Refreshments; and
  • Free parking at the New York Botanical Garden.



Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

This event is open to all women age 18 and older.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

The New York Botanical Garden is accessible via public transportation. Get specific MTA transportation information by visiting the link below.



By Subway

Take the B, D, or 4 train to Bedford Park Blvd Station. From the station exit:

  • Take the Bx 26 bus east to the Garden's Mosholu Gate entrance.
  • OR walk eight blocks down the hill on Bedford Park Blvd to the end (approximately 20 minutes). Turn left onto Southern Blvd and walk one block to Mosholu Gate entrance.


By Metro-North Railroad

Take the Metro-North to Botanical Garden Station. Walk across Southern Boulevard to the Garden's Mosholu Gate entrance. Just 20 minutes from Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan! Also convenient from other locations.

Spaces are limited, so all guests must register and print out their registration tickets to access this free event.

At COSIA, we believe that: we can develop supportive networks for women that are not limited by age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, and/or any other category of separation; we can utilize our networks as resources to produce affordable events and programs that promote team-building and the development, critical review, and active pursuit of personal and professional life goals and objectives; and we can support through fundraising and volunteer activities socially conscious initiatives and programs that benefit women and youth from underserved communities.
