Women's Essential Mountain Bike Skills Clinic

Who: Women of any skill level wanting to improve their mountain biking skills in a safe, controlled environment. The maximum number of participants is 20, so please register early.
What: Our mountain bike skills clinic will feature Shonny Vanlandingham (http://teamlunachix.com/proteam/athletes/#/ShonnyVanlandingham), a veteran member of the LUNA Pro Team who competes internationally in Mountain Bike and XTERRA races . Shonny is the 2010 XTERRA World Champion, 4-time U.S. National XTERRA Champion, and 3-time NORBA National Series Cross Country Champion. Shonny will use her extensive experience to coach participants on the proper form and skills that will improve bike handling, endurance, safety and ultimately each participants riding experience!!
Skills clinic -Saturday, November 16, 2013. Check-in and bike check will begin at 8:00 am. The clinic will begin at 9:00 am and will conclude at 4:00 pm. All participants should bring proper attire for the weather conditions (we will be outside), water, snacks, helmet, eyewear, and a bike properly fit and tuned up at your local bike shop.
Optional Fun Ride - Sunday, November 17, 2013. Check-in and warm-up at 9:30. We will start with a 1-hr no drop ride of the Cat 3 race course. For riders with more experience and endurance, we will then transition to the Cat 1-2 race course to see if we can hang with Shonny. Men are welcome to participate on this ride but need to wear something girlie (i.e., wig, make-up, tutu, skirts)!
Where: Turkey Mountain Wilderness Area, Tulsa, OK
Cost: $40. All proceeds are donated to The Breast Cancer Fund. A light lunch will be provided

Every woman has a story. LUNAFEST is a traveling film festival of award-winning short films by, for and about women. This season, our film program – filled with stories of reflection, hope and humor – will travel to over 150 cities and screen in front of 20,000 people. Each year, various organizations bring LUNAFESTs to their communities and raise funds for their local non-profits as well as our main beneficiary - the Breast Cancer Fund.
