4th Annual Women's Equality Day event

August 26th, from 5:30-8:00pm

On August 26, 1920, after a 72-year struggle, the 19th Amendment to the Constitution of the U.S. wasfinally ratified, granting women the right to vote nationwide. Please join us to commemorate this important day

Reception: 5:30-6:15pm (light appetizers will be provided)

Program: 6:30

Venue: Levine Museum of the New South

Theme: Race and Privilege

Our aim is to bridge differences and create the space for honest, positive conversations about our commonalities as women across racial, ethnic, and economic differences.

Mecklenburg County Women's Advisory Board

The Mecklenburg County Women's Advisory Board is the official citizens advisory commission on women's issues in the city of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County. The WAB mission is to identify periodically the status of women in Mecklenburg County; to recommend ways to work toward the betterment of the status of women in education, employment, family, community, health, law, finance, and social services; to work collaboratively with other organizations; and to provide community leadership opportunities by initiating and promoting programs designed to serve the needs of women.
