On October 7, 2012 Women Veterans Interactive will celebrate those who have made great sacrifices in their own lives in order to serve our country.  The inaugural Empowerment & Unification lunch cruise affords attendees the opportunity to interact with our nation’s heroes, network with top corporate executives, enjoy great food, free makeovers  and nautical views of New York City all while supporting the Women Veterans Interactive.

The purpose of Empowerment & Unification is to raise awareness, funds, and support for Women Veterans Interactive while providing the attending women veterans with peer-to-peer interaction and beneficial program information. The event also instills a stronger sense of identity among veteran attendees as they gather in solidarity and meet the faces behind their support.
Following military discharge, many women do not seek the appropriate services and support provided for them because they do not identify as veterans; thus, putting themselves at risk of homelessness and unemployment. As a network of experienced nonprofit, for-profit, and government patrons, WVI provides these women with a path to realize and achieve their aspirations after military service.

Thank you in advance for supporting women veterans and the mission of Women Veterans Interactive.  We look forward to seeing you on October 7th.

About Women Veterans Interaction

Women Veterans Interactive is a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to serving and supporting women veterans and their families through Advocacy, Empowerment, Interaction, Outreach and Unification.

Recognized as experts on Women Veterans issues, our aim is to eradicate homelessness; improve healthcare and education delivery; and develop a network where there is a free exchange of experiences and solutions that will empower and assist women veterans in living full productive lives.

Women Veterans Interactive Believes:

Women veterans should have safe and suitable housing

The word homeless and veteran should not be in the same sentence

Women veterans should have a voice at every level of government

Women veterans deserve to be treated with dignity and respect

Outreach is a critical component in meeting women veterans at their point of need

America needs to come together as a community to understand the plight of the homeless veteran
