President and CEO of Community Health Network Foundation
Join us for a chance to interact and network with other Women United members. Our guest speaker, Joyce Irwin, will share how she has followed her life's passion, including the lessons she learned along the way.
Joyce Irwin was recently named President and CEO of Community Health Network Foundation and will begin this new role on October 22. She was formerly with Roche Diagnostics Corporation, where she served as the National Director of State Government Affairs. She oversaw the governmental issues, lobbying, policy, and regulatory issues in all 50 states. She was responsible for tracking legislation and working with the various departments of Roche to develop a comprehensive market strategy for all product lines.
Prior to working at Roche, Joyce worked at Eli Lilly on federal policy issues and strategic marketing relating to importation and Medicare Modernization Act.
Joyce has over 20 years of senior level healthcare experience working in various capacities in managed care organizations with a specialty in Medicare and Medicaid policy and reimbursement. Additionally, Joyce has also managed large multi-specialty physician groups as well as large integrated hospital systems. She holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Science degree from Indiana University.
Along with her professional accomplishments, Joyce has been very involved in the community as a volunteer. Joyce is currently on the Marion County Health and Hospital Corporation Board of Trustees and the chaired the 2012 American Heart Association’s "Go Red for Women". She has received the Sagamore of the Wabash Award from Governor Robert D. Orr and the Outstanding Volunteer Award from President George W. Bush.
