Women in Politics Network Chicago Launch Event
Tuesday, August 13, 2013 from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM (CDT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
On August 13, 2013 we launch the Women in Politics Network Chicago. The Women in Politics Network is a nonpartisan grassroots movement with the mission of engaging all Women in Politics. The Women in Politics Network encourages women to get off the sidelines of politics to become engaged, educated and empowered. Every woman in America is impacted by legislation enacted at every level of government. Therefore, every woman should be an active, engaged participant in the local, state and national political discourse. A woman may decide to be involved politically in many ways but at a minimum, every woman must be aware of those political issues that impact her life daily.
Members can be invited to join the national network or a local network of the Women in Politics Network. The Women in Politics Network at the local level first engages and educates a woman on the issues dominating politics in her community. Through the cooperative community created by each network, a woman can take action to influence legislation that impacts her life and community. Women in Politics Network members are educated through advocacy, political and career trainings hosted by the Political Institute for Women. Members are encouraged to become engaged voters, advocates, candidates for political office or professionals working in the political sector. The local chapter also serves as a recruitment and support network for women running for office in each community.
Registration fee includes annual dues and dinner.
