On May 26th the ToonSeum will be celebrating it's first ever Comic Arts Festival in conjunction with the National Cartoonists Society Conference.
As part of the celebration "Rhymes with Orange" cartoonist Hilary Price has brought together a panel of some of the nation's best known women cartoonists including:

Lynn Johnston, For Better or Worse
Terri Libenson, Pajama Diaries
Jen Sorenson, Slowpoke
This Women in Cartooning panel will explore the groundbreaking work by women in the field of comics and cartooning as well as the topics and issues facing women in cartooning in the past, present and future.
The ToonSeum is deeply honored to have this panel of comic creator icons.
The discussion will take place 1:15pm on May 26th at Bricolage theater at 937 Liberty Avenue as part of the Comic Arts Festival, block party and will be followed by an autograph session meet and greet.

The Women in Comics Panel is presented by Carlow University and the National Cartoonists Society Foundation.

The mission of the ToonSeum is to celebrate the art of cartooning. Our goal is to promote a deeper appreciation of the cartoonists and their work through hands-on workshops, community outreach, cartoon-oriented educational programming, and exhibitions or original cartoon art.
