The Winter SOUP Event is almost here, and we want to make this the biggest and best one yet. We're overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone's support and feedback, and because of your suggestions, we're doing things a bit differently this time.
You've told us - loud and clear - that you like the transparency of SOUP when it comes to collecting money, but bringing cash isn't always convenient.
We hope you like this compromise - Eventbrite! You can now pre-purchase tickets before the event, but we'll still give all the money collected - in cash - to the night's winner.
Which ticket should I get?
You have four options:
RSVP Only - Sometimes it's cool to be old-school. You still pay $7 cash at the door, but you're giving us a heads-up that you plan on attending the event. RSVPs help us better plan food, drinks, and the event space - and then it's a better SOUP for everyone!
Pre-sale Ticket Donation - $7 (minimum donation) gets you dinner, a vote, and lots of fuzzy feelings. If you want to give more, be sure to add on a Winner Donation ticket.
Winner Donation - If you want to give more than the $7 minimum donation, this is the place to do it. All the extra money goes to the night's winner! Also, if you're unable to attend the event, you can still support the night's winner by choosing this ticket option!
Pre-sale Raffle Donation - For every $1 you give, you get an entry in our raffle for fantastic, local prizes. All the raffle money goes to the second place applicant, so give till your heart's happy.
*Note: You can totally purchase multiple tickets or a combination of tickets and raffle donations.
Wait...there's a fee?
Yep, with the option of pre-purchasing tickets comes a tiny fee. The money goes to Eventbrite for processing the payment. But don't worry, RSVPs are completely free!
Do I need to print my ticket?
Gosh, no. Please save a tree and just show us the confirmation on your mobile phone.
What if I don't come to the event. Can I get a refund?
Sure. But we hope you'll think the money is well spent and let the night's winner take it home anyway.

Columbus SOUP is setting out to change how the Capital City thinks about philanthropy.
We harness our city’s strong community spirit to create events that connect people with local projects in need of grassroots funding. We encourage ideas, networking, and volunteerism to foster opportunities for community members to pool their own resources and invest in Columbus.
We live in a city that embraces good ideas, and Columbus SOUP provides a platform to share those ideas at the ground level and make connections that matter. Through quarterly community events, attendees pay a $7 minimum donation for dinner and a vote to fund projects that make our city a better place.
It’s a simple concept, but it can have a big impact.
