Description
The latest edition of Wine and Rhyme continues to shed light on some of the Tampa Bay area’s finest talent, showcasing a full line-up of new performers as well as art, fashion and, without a doubt, one of the best wine selections Downtown Tampa has to offer. Rising in popularity, Dessasore stands out as a pure representation of golden era hip-hop, with his single “Come Correct” fully displaying his laid back flow and everyday chill vibe. He represents the RS crew, recently putting in a noticeable effort to further the Tampa hip-hop identity. Tampa emcee Mondon, a not-so-traditional southern lyricist, combines creative writing and wittiness with unpredictable production selection, making for a versatile and unorthodox performance. Khalea Lynee, local soul vocalist, has a classic and powerful voice, layered evenly over soulful production that successfully sets the tone for the Wine and Rhyme atmosphere. Orlando hip-hop artist A-Wun, best known for his self-produced single “Versace Dilemma,” is a classier brand of emcee, and will be showcasing material from his most recent solo effort 85 Seasons. Art will be provided by Brain Storm, a surreal visionary and tattoo artist, best known for his work on the visual for fellow St. Petersburg resident and hip-hop artist Mighty Jai’s “Marinate,” a kaleidoscopic work defined by its use of vibrant color. Pocket7 will be our featured fashion company, introducing a highly anticipated new line of merchandise which will be available for purchase throughout the course of the evening. Sunday, June 29th.
Entry is $15 and includes a complimentary glass of house wine, your choice of red or white.
