Tickets $15/adult, kids under 16 are free. Tickets are valid for both days. Farms are open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Wineries are open from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm Tickets available on Eventbrite until 8am Saturday. Event Details

Just minutes from Sacramento and Elk Grove, travel the beautiful river Saturday and/or Sunday to visit the family farms and wineries of the Delta Grown Trail along Hwy 160. Visitors will have the opportunity to participate in farm tours, kids' activities, local wine tasting, farm equipment displays, wildlife viewing, contests, and enjoy farm exhibits and fresh local produce (pears, tomatoes, melons, squash, stone fruits, sweet corn, zucchini, beans, eggs, organic, etc).

Meet the Delta farmers and see what they have to offer. Each ticket includes a “freebie” at each farm and winery.  First 500 ticketholders get a reusable bag at the pick up locations, where you need to check in for wristband.  Check in locations are at #11, #13, #14, #17 (this info will be on your printed tickets also)

New this year: "Traveled the Delta Grown Trail" special passport drawings of two Delta Grown Baskets.  Eligiblie entry by visiting and getting passport stamped at a minimum of 5 farms/wineries.  See below for basket contents.

Passport Activities

#1 Steamboat Acres

Fresh certified organic pears (Bartlett, Golden Bosc, Stark Crimson) and organic canned pears, Golden Delicious apples, sweet corn, and honey for sale. Special hay wagon farm tour of certified organic pear and cherry orchards, vineyard, alfalfa fields, and farm equipment. Delicious pulled pork BBQ lunch available at additional cost. Offering one free daily pass to the Steamboat Landing Beach coupon to each Passport ticket holder.

#2 Double M Farms/ McDowell Hunting Preserve

Diversified farm with pears, safflower, wheat, alfalfa, and gamebirds (pheasants, chukars, quail). On display will be farm equipment and gamebird aviary, baby chicks, photo opt, and a variety of educational kids activities.  Free Biggest Pear Picking Contest for kids. Fresh pears, other fruit, and free-range eggs for sale. Discount on pears for Passport ticket holders.

#3 Heringer Estates Vineyards & Winery

Exclusive opportunity to ticketholders, special free wine and barrel tasting at the Heringer Estates Winery at The Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg. Regional history will be on display. 

#4 Wallace Chan Farms Inc.

Farm equipment on display only. No stamp available at this stop.

#7 Delta Islands Organic Farm

Delta Islands Organic will be giving away 2 lbs of Organic Heirloom Tomatoes to all passport holders.  Choose from 20 different varieties of red, yellow, orange, green and purple tomatoes.  We will also have tomato tasting, and our full farm stand will be open, featuring organic cucumbers, garlic, onions, eggplant, squash, zucchini, corn, melons, blackberries, culinary herbs and seasonal fruit. Come down around midday and have lunch at one of six restaurants within two miles.  Kids activity will be 'Draw the Best Tomato' contest and the winning family will get a $20 gift certificate at the Delta Islands Organic Farm stand. Take a walking tour of the farm at 11:00, 1:00, and 3:00.

#9 Scribner Bend Vineyards Inc

Scribner Bend Vineyards is a family owned winery. We produce award winning wines grown in the Sacramento Delta and are also a premier wedding and special event venue. Wine taste and bring a picnic while you enjoy this beautiful venue. Honorary Wine Club Membership, which includes complimentary wine tasting and 20% off of all wine purchases during the weekend, will be acknowledged to all Passport ticket holders during Passport Weekend.

#10 R Kelley Farms

R. Kelley Farms is a family owned farming venture, providing seasonal fresh and healthy vegetables for the past 20 years. The farm specializes in growing black-eye, purple hull, and crowder peas. We also offer green beans, speckled butter beans, garbanzo beans, and cranberry beans. To compliment the fresh peas and beans, the farm has a variety of other items. This list includes tomatoes, okra, sweet corn, peppers, squash, cucumbers, and several types of sweet melons. 2 for the price of 1 for any melon purchased. Special activity is melon tasting and description between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm each day.

#11 Maggi’s Farm

Fresh Bartlett pears and pear sauce for sale. Children can enjoy balloon twistings and face painting done by “Twist and Shout.” Also featuring ceramics by J. Simpson.

#13 Vierra Farms

Watermelon tasting with Vierra Farms infamous black seedless and yellow watermelons.  Tours by request. Discount on produce.

#14 Backyard Basics

Fun-guy and personal Chef Kevin will be doing a delightful Delta dessert and a fresh salsa kit with fruits and vegetables of the farm trail. Visit him out under the oaks to the left of the Old Sugar Mill by his road sign.

#15 Bogle Vineyards & Winery

Bogle Vineyards will be open from 11:00-5:00 for complimentary wine tasting. Each Passport holder will receive a Bogle wine tasting glass to keep at no charge. In addition to wine tasting, Tuscan Sun Pizza Company will be selling pizzas in our picnic grounds from 12:00 until closing.

#16 Carvalho Family Winery

When visiting Carvalho Family Winery at Old Sugar Mill, Passport guests will enjoy being appreciated as a Family Wine Club Member for the day! Includes complimentary wine tasting and special discounts!

#17 Delta Farmers Market

Delta Farmers Market is located next to the future home of the Discover the Delta Education Center, which will teach people about the heart of California. The Market offers a full range of fresh locally grown produce, fresh pies, and products like olive oil, honey, and excellent wines all California Delta Grown. Many growers from the Sacramento Delta Grown Farm Trail offer their product at our market. Complimentary water bottle will be each in Passport bag.
