Tim Hanni is an internationally renowned ‘flavor maven’ and author of "Why You Like the Wines You Like: Changing the way the world thinks about wine." A professionally-trained chef, he is one of the first two resident Americans to successfully complete the examination and earn the title Master of Wine. He is a Certified Wine Educator accredited by the Society of Wine Educators. Hanni has a unique perspective on food and wine, providing a modern and innovative approach to the subject.
Tim will help us discover our own unique "vinotypes" and teach us about different physiological and psychological factors that contribute to personal wine preferences.
Kimberlee Nicholls is part of a select group of women winemakers in the Napa Valley. Her palate, tasting skills and experience ensure Markham’s consistency and true-to-type varietal expression are evident vintage after vintage.
Kimberlee’s interest in all facets of the industry, from grape growing to wine blending and laboratory work, as well as 15 years of experience in California wineries, led to her appointment as winemaker at Markham Vineyards. Meet Kimberlee and taste her award-winning wines at this event.

Join us for dinner with award-winning wines from Markham Vineyards! The fourth oldest continuously operating winery in Napa Valley, Markham is known for its Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Learn more about their historic site here in this short video.

About our Silent Auction and Raffle
A core mission of the Napa | Sonoma WWS chapter is giving back to the wine community. So every chapter event includes a fundraising component, with proceeds awarded to students enrolled at one of our four local universities in a wine major program, ranging from bachelor to executive M.B.A. degrees.
Funds are raised throughout the year at WWS’ events, with attendees bidding on prizes donated by other members, wine industry suppliers, event hosts and supporters. Prizes are awarded through the event raffles and silent auctions. 100% of proceeds go to students enrolled in these programs and are chosen by the university faculty of thse wine study programs.
There are many ways you can contribute to help deserving students meet their wine and viticultural education goals with us:

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
Alcohol will be served at this event. No one under 21 will be served.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Parking is available in Markham Vineyard's lot.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
You may switch your registration to another member or guest. You may open your order on Eventbrite from the confirmation emailed to you to edit the name information. (And if this is unavailable, please send us an email of the changes.)
Can I update my registration information?
Yes. Follow the instructions on your confirmation email on the steps to do so.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
It does make things go faster when you do!
What is the refund policy?
Women for WineSense has a no-refund policy. However, we maintain a waitlist for tickets to our events. In the event you cannot attend and there are interested parties on the waitlist who purchase a ticket, we will refund your ticket purchase.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
Follow the instructions from EventBrite's confirmation email. You can return to edit the name on display for the registration.
