Dine & Taste with Winemaker Alan Viader

On Wednesday, August 21st at Lucy Restaurant & Bar, join second generation winemaker, Alan Viader for a reception and dinner. Taste Viader's currently release of the 2012 DARE (100% cab franc) at the reception at Lucy Bar along with bites prepared by Lucy.
Following the reception, enjoy a wonderful wine pairing dinner with the 2010 VIADER Proprietary Red Blend (72% cabernet sauvignon, 28% cab franc) and the 2006 VIADER Proprietary Red Blend (66% cabernet sauvignon, 34% cab franc). The dinner includes a four-course, garden inspired menu prepared by Lucy's executive chef, Victor Scargle.
Having spent his childhood on the VIADER Estate, Alan's love for this unique terroir was augmented by both his viticulture studies and his harvest experiences abroad at estates like Achaval-Ferrer in Mendoza, Argentina. Alan has been managing the vineyards at VIADER since 2002, and has worked in all areas of the cellar and the vineyards. Today, as Director of Operations, Alan oversees the production of Viader wines from start to finish. Alan makes the winemaking decisions together with his mother, Delia, each bringing his own ideas to the table, and because their core values are in sync, they make a wonderful mother-son winemaking team.
