We believe it is easier to learn about wine when the wines are exceptional and you can connect with a top educator!

Whether you are new to wine or someone who's intimidated by all the information… a wine lover who simply wants to take your enjoyment to the next level, this introductory tasting class is perfect for you. At LearnAboutWine's fun and informative two-hour "Wine Camp", you'll learn how wine is made, how to improve your ability to describe what you're tasting, the do's and don'ts of wine service and even how to pair wine with some of your favorite foods. As you expand your knowledge, you'll have the opportunity to taste seven great wines and use your new-found sommelier skills to evaluate them like the pros. It's an evening of history, anecdotes and laughs -- all served in generous proportions.
LearnAboutWine believes it is easier to learn about wine when the wines are great. Different from a wine shop, LearnAboutWine is not trying to sell you wine but instead, work with high quality wine from best of breed locations.
Sample Wine Selection:
1. Buttonwood, ZINGY Sauvignon Blanc, Santa Ynez
**Unobstructed, clean, fresh, focused and beautiful. Varietal - Grapefruit, melon, grass, fresh, crisp, and clean, a stellar example.
2. Paul Pernot, Bourgogne, Burgundy, France
**Typical: a key learning element from an all-star producer, this wine is precise, a perfect example, earth first, wet stone, mineral, pretty, delicate and marked acid profile.
3. Riverbench, Chardonnay Estate Santa Maria
**Classic California style Chardonnay; rich, round, ripe apple, pear, spice, vanilla, with balance and with generous oak & butter!
4. La Fenetre, ACOTE Pinot Noir, Central Coast.
**Smaller producers change the wine world, see why this is one to follow. Great mouthfeel, soft color, elegant nose, aromatic cherry and brown spice.
5. Duckhorn Napa Valley Merlot
**A classic Merlot with a great story and reputation. Top quality and value found here: chocolate cover cherry, hints of toasted orange peal, vanilla, and Napa dust.
6. Silverado, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley
**Again, focused on classic references help us understand the foundation of fine wine and lead us to see where wine is going. Dark Cassis elements, hints of eucalyptus, mint, chocolate, and espresso with chiseled tannin and structure.
7. Beekeeper, Zinfandel, Madrone Spring Vineyard, Rockpile, Sonoma County
**Zinfandel is a favorite varietal at LearnAboutWine. Great Wine is all about where the story touches the quality and joy results. This is a noble wine from one of Sonoma's top Zinfandel destinations and a fun story to tell.
