February's program has changed!

With regret Michael Spayd is unavailable for the February meeting as planned, and we are grateful to Dave Guerra for moving his plans ahead to February

Why Servant Leadership Works

By zeroing in on one of the major conclusions of his new book Super Projects, Dave Guerra will investigate the question of why Servant Leadership is the leadership of Super Projects.

The complex-adaptive systems view of projects and their untapped potential, especially around the emergent features of super projects, points unmistakably to servant leadership as the true north for liberating intrinsic motivation, maximizing project performance and assuring sustainability of outcomes. This is true for all projects.

In this experiential session, Dave will introduce a new lens for understanding projects and how they occur. In a simple way, participants will discover the complex adaptive features of all projects, and though facilitated interactions and a few surprises get hold of concepts like emergence, self-organization, polar-complementarity, diversity, and fractal self-reference.

Participants will come away with a useful, fresh and practical appreciation for these elements and explore how they can be applied to future projects to simplify and increase project performance.

Participants will come away with increased conviction for what may be he best kept secret of our business generation, that servant leadership is the leadership of all project Superperformance.

Dave GuerraDave Guerra is the author of Superperformance, The Superperforming CEO, and the upcoming Super Projects (March 2011) and CEO of Corpus Optima, a one-stop shop for performance transformation services.

He is in high demand as a conference and keynote speaker, introducing the new biophysics of super and the power of servant leadership to a wide and growing range of business audiences on the local, national, and international stage, including APLN, American Society for Quality, ASTD, CEO Netweavers, CLO, Club Corp, International Center for Spirit at Work, Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership, Institute of Industrial Engineers, International Society for Performance Improvement, Organization Development Network, Project Management Institute, and Society for Human Resources Management.
