Whole Foods Market Torrance will partner with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy for Kid's Day of Service on the morning of September 7th.
Help the Land Conservancy restore coastal bluff habitat to support the endangered El Segundo Blue Butterfly.
Meet us at Pelican Cove (near the address of 6400 PV Drive South) to get your hands dirty making balls of seed which we will toss onto the hillsides in preparation for this year's rany season. After throwing seeds, help us beautify the coast by removing any trash along the shoreline.
Volunteers must wear closed-toed shoes, wear sun protection, and bring a sustainable water bottle. Bring gloves if you'd like, but PVPLC will provide additional gloves, tools, and supplies for the activity.
Whole Foods Market Torrance will provide a magical "rainbow" salad lunch from 11am-12pm. Fun for the whole family!
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
The event is open to adults and children over 2 years of age.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Please wear closed toed shoes, sun protection, and bring a water bottle. You are welcome to bring gloves, although PVPLC will be providing the necessary gloves and tools for volunteers.
