Whole Foods Market - Princeton (Kid's Day of Service)
Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM (EDT)
Calling all kids and families to join us for a fun volunteer project benefitting theThe Food Pantry at Homefront. Homefront is a Lawrenceville New Jersey organization helping families break the cycle of poverty.
We're excited to roll up our sleeves to help bag groceries and then deliver them to Homefront’ s Food Pantry right along with our partners from Homefront. This will be a family-friendly, 2-hour project (11a-1p) with tasks for everyone ages 2 and up!
Whole Foods Market will be conducting a food drive for two weeks leading up to our Day of Service and we will be bagging up the donations and bringing them down to Homefront.
Below, please find a volunteer job description and a list of items that may be helpful to bring on the day of the project. It's our goal to make your experience fun, uplifting, and kid-friendly. This is an opportunity for customers, team members, and kids to partner together in service to our community. We'll have plenty of tasks and games on-site for little ones whose attention may wander. The best part is being all together!
Following our hard work, Whole Foods Market Princeton would like to invite all of our volunteers to break bread with us (1pm-2pm). Families will enjoy our magical build-your-own salad-bar for kids and grown-ups, with all the fixings. Join us in modeling the fun of "eating a rainbow" in honor of the Whole Kids Foundation! Please join us for a fun-filled day of service and inspiration as we celebrate healthy communities and healthy eating together!
Thank you again and look forward to seeing you soon!
