Whole Foods Market stores across the country are joining up with families in their community to celebrate a Kids Day of Service from September 1- 14. The Highlands Ranch store invites families to participate in the action right in their backyards on September 7!
What: Kids and families join up with Whole Foods Market Highlands Ranch Team Members for a two-hour volunteer project to join with Douglas County Educational Foundation and Panther Pantry to decorate and pack donated food into bags for the pantry’s Weekend Wellness Program for high school kids, as well as decorate a banner to brighten up the pantry! Afterwards, the Whole Kids Foundation will provide a salad lunch for the volunteers.
When: Saturday, September 7 from 10 AM to Noon with a healthy lunch to follow
Where: Panther Pantry, 8250 Park Meadows Drive, Suite 130 Lone Tree, CO 80124
Why: Serving its communities is a core value for Whole Foods Market, and getting a chance to team up with customers and other community members to give back is all the more important. These hands-on volunteer opportunities help connect local families and Whole Foods Market Team Members with the community and also provide a chance for access to and discussions about healthy food and eating habits.
Donations: To make this volunteer day a success, we would love your help to gather non-perishable goods to pack into the Weekend Wellness bags! Some items Panther Pantry can use include:
noodle cups, canned tuna and crackers, macaroni and cheese boxes, fruit cups, cereal bars, protein bars, trail mix, sweet and salty snacks, oatmeal, cereal, other easy to prep foods for kids!
These items can be dropped off at the Highlands Ranch Whole Foods or brought with you to the event!
