Event Details

Calling all kids and families to join us for a fun fall volunteer project with Trees Atlanta at the Atlanta BeltLine!

We're excited to roll up our sleeves and plant some native grass on the Eastside Trail of the BeltLine, near the skate park! This will be a family-friendly, 2-3 hour project with tasks for everyone ages 5 and up!

We’ll start by sharing lunch – a build-your-own salad-bar for kids and grown-ups, plus all the fixings. Join us in modeling the fun of "eating a rainbow" in honor of the Whole Kids Foundation!

Below, please find some important information about the day. It's our goal to make your experience fun, uplifting, and kid-friendly. This is an opportunity for customers, team members, and kids to partner together in service to our community. We'll have plenty of tasks and games on-site for little ones whose attention may wander. The best part is being all together!

Schedule:
1-1:30pm Registration and Lunch – meet at Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark
1:30-4pm: Grass planting fun at Angier Springs Trailhead

What to Bring:
*We will provide all tools, but please bring work gloves if you have them.
*Water, lunch and snacks will be provided. Please feel free to bring your own reusable water bottles or personal snacks.
*Dress for the weather – hat, sunscreen, layers.
*Event is moderate rain or shine. Cancellation will be made by noon on Saturday if needed.
*We will have activities for younger children if the need to play strikes; however, if you know your little one would enjoy something special, please bring it along to share!

Parking:
We advise parking at the Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark or as near to it as possible. Street parking is available on Willoughby Way or Ashley Avenue. Carpooling or biking is encouraged!

Volunteer Slips:
We ask that each volunteer bring a signed copy for themselves, and any children, to our project so that we can all stay safe. That form will be available on-site and will also be emailed to you.

Please join us for a fun-filled day of service and inspiration as we celebrate healthy communities and healthy eating together!
