Whiskey Obsession is the west coast of Florida’s first whiskey show, celebrating fine single malt, blended Scotch and American whiskies, Bourbon and rye, as well as whiskies from Ireland, Japan, and around the world. This elegant tasting event will allow guests to sample over 150 premium spirits and interact with distillers, international brand ambassadors, importers, and industry professionals. Gourmet appetizers and a lavish buffet will complement the selections.
Whiskey Obsession will be held on Friday, April 19, 2013 in the ballroom at Michael’s on East. VIP admission begins at 6:30 pm with general admission at 7:30 pm. The last pour is at 10:30 pm and the event concludes at 11:00 pm. VIP hour includes ultra-premium pours and more opportunities to interact with the industry professionals.
Package sales will be allowed on site, a unique aspect of this event compared to many other major whiskey festivals, allowing guests to purchase and take home their favorite selections.
Five small group educational seminars will occur during the event, providing guests with an opportunity to learn more about these premium spirits with the distillers and brand ambassadors who know them best. Attendance is limited and Whiskey Obsession is expected to reach capacity; advance ticket purchase is highly recommended. All ticket sales are final.
VIP tickets are available for $125 and include one hour early entrance with ultra-premium whiskey pours (including fine and rare spirits as available - please see http://whiskeyobsessionfestival.com/whiskies/ for complete information), priority seating at seminars, priority seating at the Thursday, April 18, 2013 tasting and panel discussion, and other benefits.
Standard event ticket is $75 and includes admission beginning at 7:30 pm, and a companion ticket is available for guests who prefer wine and buffet only. Note that VIP ticket holders and their Companions may enter at 6:30 pm.
Each guest with a VIP or General Admission ticket will receive a commemorative Glencairn glass upon entrance for sampling these fine spirits. The Glencairn glass is considered the official whisky glass and the was winner of the Queen's Award for Innovation in 2006. Please enjoy the whiskies responsibly.
VIP and standard event tickets include unlimited tastings and guests are reminded that this event is for appreciation, not intoxication. Obviously impaired guests will not be allowed to remain at the event. All guests who consume alcohol are encouraged to have a designated driver; Whiskey Obsession does not tolerate drinking and driving. Take your friends and take a cab.

Turner C. Moore created the Whiskey Obsession Festival to share his passion and knowledge about fine single malts, American, and world whiskies.
Mr. Moore is a whiskey enthusiast who has visited dozens of distilleries across the US and Scotland and attended a host of whiskey festivals. Mr. Moore leads tastings on a regular basis at private clubs, fine dining restarants and wine cellars, bars, retirement communities, and private homes. He is excited to bring this elegant, educational, connoisseur level event to Sarasota.
