San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
When Cancer Invites Itself To Dinner features Chef Curtiss Hemm, founder and director, Pink Ribbon Cooking.
Hear one local family's compelling cancer journey and get an introduction to a way of cooking delicious food that is easy to prepare, healthy, pleasurable and satisfying.
Hemm, the former Dean of Culinary Arts at the New England Culinary Institute, was joined at his table by a very unwelcome guest, cancer, when his wife and the mother of his son, was diagnosed. Chef coped and healed from his wife's cancer in one of the most natural ways: he cooked for her. Today, he is the founder of Pink Ribbon Cooking, a company that specializes in subjects relating to how food, nutrition and diet can improve quality of life before, during and after a cancer diagnosis.
Come with recipes, questions and an open heart to learn more about how food can help heal the body and soul.
Pink Ribbon Cooking is proud to collaborate with and support the Foundation of CVPH Medical Center and its efforts to fund renovations to the cancer patient rooms on its oncology unit. As a community partner through this campaign, Pink Ribbon Cooking will donate $5 from each eCookbook and $60 from each annual online membership.
