InfoSocial – Featuring Biking
Stag’s Head Pub
2128 Portsmouth St Houston, TX 77098
BCO takes our monthly Infosocial a pedal stroke further this month – not only can you visit with friends, learn more about BCO, and meet Event Leaders -- this month you can learn more about biking in our fair city and around the world! Doesn't matter what kind of bike you have, we love to cruise, mountain bike, road ride, tootle around the city -- you name it!
Biking is great exercise and loads of fun.
With the MS150 coming up in April, this is a perfect time to learn a little more about riding - or about maintaining your bike. If you would like to learn/practice changing a flat tire - bring your bike wheel (and a spare tube). The best way to learn anything is hands-on and this is your chance! We will also have bike experts on hand to answer your questions about basic maintenance, bike fit, the best bike/seat for your build, what roads and trails to bike in Houston and the surrounding areas.
As always - you can come to our InfoSocial to learn about biking and stick around and meet new friends and catch up with "old" friends. Or, you can skip the bike room completely and just hangout with us - your choice.
We have the private room blocked off for our biking experts from 7:00 to 8:00pm. You can ask questions in small, break-out groups. Don't forget, if you want to learn/practice that tire change, bring your front tire and a spare tube and get gritty!
Get out, get active and get social! Join us to learn more about how you can get outdoors and find your own outdoor adventures! Meet us at Stag’s Head Pub to begin your adventure. Don’t forget that Stag’s Head has a great Happy Hour with $5 pizzas! With 85 to 100 events a month - from kayaking to camping, biking to hiking, concerts to wine-tastings - we never run out of things to do or friends to meet!

When & Where
Bayou City Outdoors
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
Typically most BCO events are for adults. But, we do love kids. If you believe your child is capable of keeping up with the group, no problem. AND if this is a bike ride they MUST wear a helmet. Questions? Contact us at email@example.com
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
We add parking details to the Event descriptions.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
If the temperature is above 80 or it very clearly says "No Dogs" then please don't bring your dog. We LOVE dogs and only make this rule if we feel there could be a safety concern (for the dogs of course:).
BIKE: If it is a bike ride: Bring a helmet or borrow one from us. Helmets are the single most important piece of gear you can have on a bike ride. Anyway, any time you are wearing a helmet you must be having fun!
Bring water. Frequently our events are in the woods or out of the way. Water is important.
HIKE: If it is a hiking event wear comfortable shoes. Athletic shoes, hiking boots, running shoes, just be sure your feet will be happy.
SOCIAL: If it is a social event? Wear whatever YOU feel comfortable in. We are an eclectic mix of people with all types of interests and jobs. People will come straight from work in a suit or jeans, straight from running or working out, and some of us even come cleaned up straight from the shower! (and everything in between)
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Can I update my registration information?
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Printed ticket or download the EventBright app and bring it on your phone.
What is the refund policy?
Refunds up until 48 hours before. Or, better yet, get some goodwill by sharing your ticket with a friend. They will love you even more after all the fun they had at the BCO event!
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
Yes - see love & friendship above!
