Event Details

What are local governments doing to facilitate the new kinds of civic engagement enabled by today’s

communications technologies? With the explosion of real-time connectivity and open data, Americans

are beginning to engage City Hall in uniquely dynamic ways.

How can government evolve to harness the digital age revolution?

Gavin Newsom draws on his experiences as former Mayor of San Francisco and California’s

current Lieutenant Governor to explore new approaches to reinventing government, joined by

local government and non-profit leaders who are implementing their own versions of new civic

engagement.
