Event Details

With the support of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts' Critical Financial Services Co-Sponsored Program, Nonprofit Finance Fund is pleased to present "What’s in a Budget?  Maximizing the Power of a Vital Management Tool."

This workshop is designed for Executive Directors, other senior staff, and Board Members.  We will review the basics of budgeting and move from the essential budget, where true financial story is clear; to the ideal budget, which also addresses balance sheet needs; and finally to the advanced budget, which communicates the complexities of your business.  We will review basic budgeting formats and discuss common questions such as budgeting multi-year or restricted funding, "carryover" funds, reforecasting,  and cash vs. accrual budgeting.

Please note that, due to space limitations, registraton preference will be given to current Arts Council grantees.
