Thursday, September 19, 2013 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM (EDT)
The Community College Baccalaureate Association (CCBA) strives to promote better access to the baccalaureate degree on community college campuses, and to serve as a resource for information on various models for accomplishing this purpose. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear what the experts from these online universities know about helping students, especially adult students, succeed in distance learning courses.
There is a growing trend toward using Open Education Resources and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) to provide education and training. Learn how some organizations are using these free resources to expand offerings to their students. In this interactive session we will discuss different forms of OER and MOOC, the debate on whether to give credit for MOOCs, how some institutions are using OER and MOOCs and you can assess this type of learning for credit.
This webinar will be presented by Lisa LaVigna, Excelsior College.
