What the Bleep are Bitcoins? And why do I care?
Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (EST)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Bitcoin is an electronic currency that has value because we believe it does, because there is a limited amount, and because there is no one central bank. Wait! Before you run away, remember that gold can be described the same way - except, of course, for the electronic part.
We know of at least one local organization that did not take bitcoin seriously and is down at least 2K for that blunder.
So ... We are bringing Lamar Wilson and some of his Bitcoin-weilding friends from Lexington to Louisville to explain why Bitcoin is important. Business are accepting it, entrepreneurs are embracing it, the press is afraid of it - so shouldn't you understand it?
Join Lamar and our other guests at the event at iHub February 26th:
- Andy Schroder - Clean Fuels expert and Bitcoin device developer
- Will Montague - Lexington Attorney who is examining the legal status and pros and cons of Bitcoin use
- Lafe Taylor, Lamar's business partner
Admission is free and LDA will provide snacks and refreshments. We hope to see you Wednesday the 26th at iHub!
