Event Details

What would it be like to talk with God and not just talk at Him, say words to Him? Could prayer really be more like conversation with Someone?

This one evening class will focus on examples from both the Old and New Testament that picture prayer as two-way communication. We will explore a Biblical framework for approaching prayer relationally, as if we really might have conversations with the Living God.

An "intensive" is a one session class where we focus on a topic or passage of Scripture that does not require a six-week series but may require more time than is available on a typical Sunday morning message. This one evening class will meet on Friday, August 29, 2014, at the offices of OB Hospitalist Group. Although the class is free, we encourage you to register to ensure we have materials and space for everyone.

This one evening intensive will meet on Friday, August 29, 2014, beginning at 6:30 pm.

The River Upstate

Every Christian needs opportunities to grow in the grace and knowledge fo the Lord Jesus and to deeped his or her understanding of Scripture (2 Peter 3:18). The River is a cooperative ministry venture focused on empowering and encouraging communities of faith through Biblical training, curricula, and mentorship. Through a growing understanding of Scripture, believers will discover a richness of Biblical truth that will supplement their journey in faith, enhance their joy in Jesus, and encourage them in ministry in their respective churches.
